So close to the French Open, this comes as a surprise despite his slump in form! Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has ended his collaboration with his coach and former rival Andy Murray after only six months.
The Serbian, who is currently struggling with form, announced the news on Tuesday.
“Thank you, Coach Andy, for all the hard work, fun, and support over the last six months on and off the court,” the world number six wrote on Instagram.
The decision comes as a surprise, as Murray, an expert on grass courts, was expected to provide important support at Wimbledon, where Djokovic is considered the favorite to win.

Djokovic recently withdrew from the ATP Masters in Rome.
The 37-year-old, who is chasing his 25th major title in the twilight of his career, had previously failed to get past the first round in both Monte Carlo and Madrid. He will compete in Geneva next week with a wild card.
