It is almost certain that Enzo Millot will leave VfB Stuttgart. The only question is where the Frenchman will go next. Apparently, he is headed to Galatasaray Istanbul in Turkey.
Turkey say that Galatasaray and the player have reached an agreement
For a long time, France was the 23-year-old’s actual destination. However, it seems that no suitable offer has landed on Millot’s table from his home country. The offensive player, who has been linked with many clubs around the globe in recent months, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Monaco, Marseille, and even Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al-Nassr, seems to favor Turkey.
As Bild has already reported, the traditional club from the Bosporus is in talks with the Stuttgart-based player and his management. According to sources in Turkey, the club and the player have even reached an agreement.
Millot scored important goals for VfB
The silver medalist, who was born near Paris and lost 3-5 in extra time to Spain in the final of the Olympic football tournament in his hometown in August 2024, has been wearing the jersey of the traditional Swabian club since 2021. After a lengthy settling-in period, Millot developed into a key player under head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
The 23-year-old has scored 22 goals in 113 competitive appearances. These include important goals such as the two in the 2023 relegation play-off second leg against Hamburger SV (3-0 and 3-1) and the two in the 4-2 DFB Cup final against Arminia Bielefeld last May.
Millot’s contract, which was originally due to expire in 2025, was only extended in January 2024 until the end of June 2028. However, it includes an exit clause that now allows the player to leave the club for a sum of between €16 million and €18 million.
Depending on the quality of the new club. In the case of Galatasaray, which has also signed DFB international Leroy Sané (29), a sum at the lower end of the scale is expected.
