FC Barcelona has canceled a test match in Japan. The Catalans are now reconsidering whether to travel to Asia at all, where further test matches are planned.
FC Barcelona has canceled a friendly match against Vissel Kobe as part of its preseason preparations in Japan at short notice. The Spanish champions announced on Wednesday evening that the decision had been made due to “serious breaches of contract” by the organizer. Hansi Flick’s team was scheduled to play the match on Sunday.
The Spanish double winners regretted the cancellation and left open whether they would travel to Asia in the coming days. “The club will reconsider its plans for the summer trip to South Korea,” the statement continued.
Friendly matches against FC Seoul and Daegu FC are scheduled for July 31 and August 4. However, this is conditional on the organizer fulfilling “certain conditions.” The Catalans did not provide any further details.
