The record Grand Slam champion from Serbia has canceled his participation in the upcoming Masters.
Following his withdrawal from the current ATP Masters in Miami, tennis star Novak Djokovic will also not be playing in Monte-Carlo. This was announced by the tournament organizers on Friday – without giving any reasons. The third of the year’s nine Masters events will take place in the Principality of Monaco from April 5 to 12.
Record Grand Slam champion Djokovic, twice a tournament winner in Monte-Carlo, will be absent from Miami due to a right shoulder injury. The 38-year-old Serb may not yet be fit enough for the start of the clay court season in Europe. It remains to be seen when Djokovic will make his comeback.
