Paul Wanner and Nikolas Veratschnig will be unable to play for the ÖFB team against Ireland and Kosovo. The all-clear has been given for Sascha Horvath.
The Austrian national team will have to do without Paul Wanner and Nikolas Veratschnig for their Nations League matches against Ireland in Dublin on Thursday and against Kosovo in Prishtina on Sunday.
As the ÖFB announced on Tuesday, Wanner has suffered an injury to the sole of his left foot and Veratschnig has sustained an injury to his right knee. Both players are returning to their clubs. However, the all-clear has been given for Sascha Horvath – the LASK captain remains in the squad.
Horvath had to cut short Monday’s training session at the ÖFB campus in Vienna due to thigh problems, but an MRI scan on Monday evening revealed that he had not suffered any structural injury.
