The world number 46 announced the news on Instagram with a series of photos. The first snapshot shows the tennis player walking down the aisle with his new wife in a green garden setting. The aisle was lined with beautiful white flowers, and a large white arch can be seen in the background.
Another photo shows the couple kissing in a park. There is also a snapshot of them on the dance floor. Altmaier wrote alongside the photos: “We are married. It’s almost impossible to put into words. The happiness we feel at this moment is something magical. December 6 was the best day of our lives.“
”It’s a dream to call you my wife“
The tennis star then thanked his family and emphasized that the wedding would not have been possible without them. He explained: ”Also to everyone who came to accompany us on this special day, and to those who couldn’t come. We feel the love in every moment.“
He then turned his attention to his wife Paulina and wrote her a touching declaration of love: ”From the first day I met you, I couldn’t imagine a future without you. It’s a dream to call you my wife, and I am the happiest person in the world. I love you infinitely.”
