Lando Norris is still chasing his first Formula 1 world championship title, but he has already won in love: now he talks about his girlfriend Margarida Corceiro
In Formula 1, Lando Norris continues to fight for the coveted world championship title, but in love, the 25-year-old Brit has already celebrated a personal success: since spring 2025, the McLaren driver has been dating Portuguese actress, top model, and influencer Margarida Corceiro.
Rumors about a relationship between the two had been circulating for several years after they were seen together in public on several occasions and attended a tennis tournament in Monaco. In August 2024, the liaison was said to have come to an end for the time being.
But this year saw a surprising comeback when Norris and Corceiro made their love official at the Hungarian Grand Prix. “We met a few years ago, but we weren’t really together until recently,” Norris reveals in a recent interview with Vogue. What does Norris particularly appreciate about his 22-year-old girlfriend? “Everything,” the Brit grins. “She’s someone I can be completely myself with. She’s very down-to-earth and she also leads a pretty crazy life. It’s nice when we can just rent a boat for the day or go home together and relax.”
Norris wants to get his girlfriend interested in golf
However, there is one small catch: “The biggest thing I’m trying to change is to get her interested in golf,” reveals the McLaren star. “She hates golf.” Unlike world champion Max Verstappen, who even raced around the course in a golf cart with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet during the summer break, golf is therefore out of the question as a joint leisure activity.
But they do have something else in common in the public eye: both have to deal with insults and negative comments on a regular basis. “I don’t think you can just accept a bad comment as if nothing happened,” says Norris.
“You don’t want anyone to write bad things about someone. But she is well aware of that.” With more than two million followers, Margarida Corceiro is one of the most famous influencers, while Lando Norris even took a break from social media a few weeks ago.
But the McLaren star clearly can’t let go completely. “It affects me,” he admits, but adds: “Much less than it used to. I pay much less attention to it now.” Between the Formula 1 world championship battle and his new girlfriend Margarida Corceiro, the Briton hardly has any time left anyway…
