WWE champion celebrates new arrival! Top wrestling star Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi have welcomed their second child.
On Friday, Brandi shared the happy news on social media: “Welcome to the world, Leilani Ella Runnels. We are in love. Thank you, God, for answering our prayers.” Leilani – nicknamed Lani – is the Rhodes couple’s second daughter after Liberty, who was born in June 2022.
The Rhodes couple kept the pregnancy a secret
40-year-old Cody and his wife, who is two years older – formerly a WWE ring announcer and later on the board of competitor AEW when Cody was still active there – had kept Brandi’s second pregnancy a secret from the public. Fans and colleagues were understandably surprised.
The “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, son of the late legend Dusty Rhodes, is currently taking a break from WWE. He is missing today’s major European event Clash in Paris, ostensibly due to an injury sustained in an attack by his rival Drew McIntyre.
Rhodes recently completed filming for a movie appearance in the remake of “Street Fighter,” which also features WWE colleague Roman Reigns. Now it’s clear that this isn’t the only reason for his time off.
