Sami Zayn announces on SmackDown that he will now be appearing on the Friday show – and sets his sights on US Champion Solo Sikoa.
One of the most popular stars in the WWE wrestling league is switching sides: Sami Zayn is now part of the Friday show SmackDown.
Zayn made an unannounced appearance on the latest episode of the show and set his sights on United States Champion Solo Sikoa – who had provoked this on Monday’s RAW with an attack on Zayn himself.

Sikoa opened SmackDown and issued an open challenge to the locker room: Anyone who wanted to could face him if they dared.
To Sikoa’s surprise, Zayn stepped forward and introduced himself as the newest member of the locker room. He thanked his former Bloodline colleague Sikoa for attacking him on RAW and opening his eyes. His obsession with the futile mission of winning the World Title on RAW had blinded him to other goals. Now he was “liberated” and had a new mission: he wanted Sikoa’s belt.

Sikoa and his allies The MFTs (JC Mateo, Tonga Loa, and Talla Tonga) quickly set about beating up Zayn together – but he then got help from Jacob Fatu and Sikoa’s older brother Jimmy Uso.
This led to a match between Zayn, Uso and Fatu against the MFTs. Zayn secured victory for his team with a Helluva Kick against Sikoa, thereby cementing his ambitions for the latter’s title. The show in Boston ended with Zayn and Fatu fraternizing and the three crowd favorites celebrating together.

Clash in Paris takes shape
A title match between Sikoa and Zayn is now a possible additional match for the upcoming major European event Clash in Paris on August 31.
Already confirmed for the event are John Cena’s last match in Europe against Logan Paul and a World Title four-way match between champion Seth Rollins, CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso, which was announced on RAW. In addition, a WWE title match between champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre is in the works.
WWE Women’s Champion Naomi is also scheduled to face Stephanie Vaquer, but this may be thwarted by an injury to Naomi. Naomi is scheduled to appear on the upcoming episode of RAW to explain herself.
