Victoria Mboko has continued her winning streak at her WTA home tournament in Montreal. The 18-year-old is playing brilliantly at her home tournament and can continue to dream of winning the tournament.
Canada’s tennis shooting star Victoria Mboko continued her winning streak at her WTA home tournament in Montreal and reached the semifinals. The 18-year-old defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro from Spain 6-4, 6-2. This is Mboko’s first time in the semifinals of a 1000-series tournament. There she will face Kazakhstan’s Jelena Rybakina.
“I’m thrilled to be in the semifinals here,” said Mboko. “I want to thank everyone again for their support. It’s been incredible.”
Mboko entered the tournament ranked 85th in the world. Next week, she will definitely be ranked in the top 50. Before her victory over Bouzas Maneiro, the Canadian had already outclassed world number two Coco Gauff 6-1, 6-4 in the round of 16 in Montreal.
