Brad Pitt thinks Pierre Gasly is ready for Hollywood, which his mother proudly shared with the family group
Will Pierre Gasly be the next Hollywood superstar from Formula 1? If Brad Pitt has his way, he could well see the Frenchman in the movie business. The lead actor in the new F1 movie, which hit theaters this week, singled out three drivers in response to a question from ABC.
Alongside Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz, it was Pierre Gasly who, according to Pitt, has “a feel” for it.
“I have to say, that made my mother pretty happy,” grins the Frenchman when asked about these statements. “She was the first to send it to the family group. Let’s see how the season goes, but hopefully we’ll pick up a few more points. Otherwise, you might really see me in Hollywood.”
Because in terms of sport, things are anything but smooth sailing for Alpine this season. While there are constant squabbles surrounding the second cockpit, which Franco Colapinto took over from Jack Doohan, Gasly himself has not been able to make a big impact so far. With eleven points, the team is currently in last place.

So it was good for Gasly to have something to cheer about away from the racetrack. But where does his acting talent come from? Did he perhaps act as a child? “Not at all,” he laughs. “I think it’s just the French side of me. Maybe I could play a French lover or something like that.“
However, the Alpine driver really enjoyed the new Formula 1 film: ”It’s cool and I’m excited to see what people think of it,“ he says. ”Hopefully it will attract even more fans and get even more people to enjoy our world of Formula 1.”
According to Gasly, one person who is sure to enjoy the film is Max Verstappen, who has so far shied away from the two film premieres where all the drivers came together. The Dutchman did not watch the film with his colleagues, preferring to do other things.
He says he hasn’t finished watching it either, but Gasly thinks he definitely should. “I just wanted to say to Max: At some point they’ll show how you win the race, so you should definitely watch it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.”
