WWE legend makes her debut at AEW

Hall of Fame member Beth Copeland, formerly known as Beth Phoenix, follows her husband Adam and his partner Christian Cage to All Elite Wrestling and joins the feud with FTR at All Out.

A legendary wrestling duo has been reunited for several weeks now, and another old acquaintance has arrived to reinforce the team.

WWE Hall of Fame member Beth Copeland, formerly Beth Phoenix, made her debut for rival All Elite Wrestling, coming to the aid of her husband Adam and his childhood friend Christian Cage in a big match.

AEW All Out: Beth Copeland helps husband Adam against FTR

At the All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, Copeland and Cage—formerly Edge and Christian—faced off against the duo FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), one of the most prominent teams of the present day, in a battle of the generations.

Copeland and Cage provided several nostalgic moments during their home game in Canada: Copeland greeted old rival John Cena with a Five Knuckle Shuffle and the FU—who later that night fought one of his last matches against Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza. Copeland and Cage also paid tribute to Canadian show wrestling national hero Bret “The Hitman” Hart with a double Sharpshooter.

Because FTR often received unfair help from their manager Stokely Hathaway, Beth eventually had enough, made her way to the ring to the cheers of the fans, knocked Hathaway down with a spear, and carried him away from the ring.

In the ring, Adam Copeland finally secured victory for his team with a spear against Wheeler – but that wasn’t the end of the scene or the rivalry.

Copeland and Christian Cage win – but the feud continues

The victory celebration of Cage and the Copelands was disrupted by Cage’s former allies The Patriarchy (Nick Wayn, Mother Wayne, and Kip Sabian), who distracted the winners – allowing FTR to ambush them.

FTR attacked Cage and Adam Copeland, handcuffing the latter to the ring – and finally turning their attention to Beth when she physically defended herself against Harwood and Wheeler.

FTR hit Beth with a Spike Piledriver, dropping her on her neck while her husband Adam looked on helplessly. A revenge campaign by Copeland and Cage and a rematch can be considered a foregone conclusion under these circumstances.

Jack Perry and Luchasaurus reunited

Beth’s debut wasn’t the only surprise of the evening: there was also a celebrated moment when rising star Jack Perry returned after ten months and turned against his former allies, The Young Bucks.

Perry confronted the Bucks after they failed to regain the tag team titles from Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) in a ladder match. When the Bucks went after Perry, it became clear that the son of the late actor Luke Perry had an additional surprise up his sleeve: Perry had an old acquaintance at his side.

The masked Killswitch appeared behind the Bucks, finished them off, and, to the delight of the fans, transformed back into his former alter ego Luchasaurus. He and “Jungle Boy” Perry reformed their tag team The Jurassic Express, and Baltimora’s old, popular theme “Tarzan Boy” rang out once again.

Kingston, Pac, and Cassidy are also back

Several other stars also returned to AEW after a long break: Eddie Kingston, who had been out with a long-term injury, won his comeback match against Big Bill and formed a new alliance with Hook: The son of legend Taz came to Kingston’s aid when Bill and partner Bryan Keith had Kingston in a pincer movement.

Pac is also back: In the “Coffin Match” between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin, the Brit helped Moxley to victory, whose group The Death Riders—recently reinforced by Daniel Garcia—is now back to full strength. Orange Cassidy is also fit again: Mark Briscoe, who was victorious in a brutal “Tables & Tacks Match” against MJF at All Out, announced during the show that Cassidy will return at his side on Wednesday’s Dynamite TV show. Surprising title change

In an outstanding main event, World Champion Hangman Page defended his title against young Kyle Fletcher, who once again proved himself to be the main eventer of the future with his performance.

There was a rather surprising title change in the women’s division, where Kris Statlander was crowned the new champion: Statlander won a four-way match against the previous title holder Toni Storm, former champion Jamie Hayter, and Austria’s Thekla.

Meanwhile, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné (formerly Sasha Banks) defended her title against Japan’s Riho, and Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada defended his title in an exciting international three-way match against his Japanese compatriot Konosuke Takeshita and Mexico’s Mascara Dorada.
