Polish world number one Iga Swiatek has once again been named “Player of the Year” by the WTA.

This was announced by the players’ organization on Tuesday following the vote by international tennis journalists. Swiatek, who had already received the award last year, won her fourth Grand Slam title at the French Open in 2023 and finished a tennis season as the world number one for the second time in a row.

The 22-year-old won a total of six tournaments last season, including the WTA Finals for the year’s best players. Swiatek’s coach Tomasz Wiktorowski was also honored as “Coach of the Year.”
