“Was planned for longer”: SCP must do without Stiepermann for the time being

Marco Stiepermann (30) will be missing from SC Paderborn in the coming weeks. But that was the plan.

As in the 2:1 against Ingolstadt on Saturday, SC Paderborn will have to do without Marco Stiepermann in the coming weeks. The East Westphalians announced on Tuesday that the 30-year-old attacking player had undergone meniscus surgery. “This operation had been planned for some time and has now been successfully completed at the beginning of the international break,” the club said.

Stiepermann had returned to the 2nd division in the summer after four years with Norwich City and moved to Paderborn on a free transfer. The Dortmund native has played in eight league games for coach Lukas Kwasniok’s team so far, scoring three goals.
