VfB see “great potential”: 15-year-old goalkeeping talent extends contract

VfB Stuttgart have tied 15-year-old goalkeeper Dennis Seimen to the club for the long term and see an “ambitious mindset” in the youngster, who already plays for the U19s.

“I am delighted that he will be continuing the path he embarked on with VfB years ago and that we have been able to tie him down for the long term,” NLZ director Thomas Krücken commented on the contract extension via Twitter. “We will develop his great potential step by step in close cooperation with the licensing department.”

Seimen has already been at the Neckar since 2015 and has accordingly gone through the complete goalkeeper training programme at the Swabians. “He adapts very quickly, is willing to learn and has a very professional and ambitious mindset,” praises Krücken.

Seimen, who has been living at the Stuttgart boarding school for two years, has already played for VfB’s U17 and U19 teams. He has made two appearances for the A Juniors so far and kept his box clean in the games against Darmstadt (3:0) and in Heidenheim (4:0).
