U-turn? Fiorentina apparently interested in Grillitsch

A transfer of Florian Grillitsch to Serie A is becoming increasingly likely. Now AC Florence are apparently also entering the poker game for the Austrian international.

It has been clear since the beginning of May that Florian Grillitsch will leave TSG Hoffenheim. Currently, the Austrian is still looking for a club, but there could soon be news of a deal. According to the often well-informed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is said to be in advanced talks with AC Florence. This information coincides with reports from Sky Italia and Sportitalia.

A four-year contract is reportedly on the table for Grillitsch. Given his expiring working paper at Hoffenheim, no transfer fee is due for the 26-year-old this summer. Grillitsch would join Fiorentina in the Conference League play-off next season.

Grillitsch had also recently been linked with a move to Lazio Roma. The Austrian is considered a preferred candidate by coach Maurizio Sarri.
