“Showing talents clear perspective”: FCA makes Koudossou a professional

FC Augsburg have signed Henri Koudossou to a professional contract. The offensive player attracted attention in the Bavarian Regionalliga last season.

Koudossou found his way to the Fuggerstadt via Ismaning, Memmingen and Pullach in the summer of 2020, where he has since played for FCA’s second team in the Bavarian Regionalliga. Last season, the 22-year-old winger scored four goals in 27 games and also assisted eleven times.

“We want to show our young talents a clear perspective again and support them in finding their way into the Bundesliga with FCA. That’s why I’m delighted that we’ve been able to tie another talent to us for the long term in the form of Henri Koudossou, so that he can continue to develop here,” Augsburg’s managing director of sport Stefan Reuter is quoted as saying on the club’s website.

Koudossou will be working with new head coach Enrico Maaßen in the professional ranks. Koudossou, who was born in Munich, signed a contract until 2025 with the option of an extension. He will wear the number 44 in the future.
