Shocking scenes involving WWE superstar

Roman Reigns leaves the Clash in Paris super show on a stretcher—it looks like a long break for the “Original Tribal Chief.”

WWE superstar Roman Reigns made his first appearance in a match in Europe in more than two years – and it will probably be his last for a while.

The opening match of Sunday night’s big event Clash in Paris ended with the “Original Tribal Chief” leaving La Défense Arena on a stretcher. It looks like a long break for Reigns.

WWE Clash in Paris: Reigns likely to take time off

The 40-year-old Reigns defeated the colossus Bronson Reed from The Vision faction in the show’s opening match – but then fell victim to a brutal attack by Reed and his ally Bron Breakker.

The two henchmen of World Champion Seth Rollins each unleashed a whole series of their respective special moves on Reigns – there were several spears from Breakker and three tsunami splashes from Reed. Reigns’ family member Jey Uso, who tried to come to his aid, was also taken out.

The way the attack was staged suggests that Reigns is facing a longer break. The “Head of the Table,” who has only had a part-time contract with the league for some time now, regularly takes breaks of several months between his appearances at major shows.

It remains to be seen whether he will be active again this year – or whether WWE will save his comeback for the “Road to WrestleMania” at the beginning of next year.

Seth Rollins still has an ace up his sleeve

Breakker and Reed’s attack on Reigns resulted in the two having to leave the arena under threat of suspension. This meant they were unable to support Rollins when he had to put his World Title on the line in a four-way match against his rivals Jey Uso, CM Punk, and LA Knight in the main event.

Rollins seemed to be in dire straits at the end of the match when Punk was about to dethrone him with his finisher, the GTS. However, the “Visionary” still had an ace up his sleeve: Suddenly, a masked woman appeared behind Punk and delivered a low blow that turned the fight in Rollins’ favor.

The masked woman turned out to be Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch, who celebrated the title defense with him at the end of the show.

John Cena defeats Logan Paul

In the show’s co-main event, the soon-to-retire John Cena defeated social media phenomenon Logan Paul in his last match in Europe. In the two other title matches, the Wyatt Sicks retained their WWE Tag Team titles against the Street Profits, and Becky Lynch, who was later involved in the main event, retained her Women’s Intercontinental title against Nikki Bella.

Rusev, who recently returned to WWE from rival AEW, also celebrated a major success, winning his feud against former WWE Champion Sheamus in a no-rules “Donnybrook match.”
