Daniel Altmaier was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the tennis tournament in Majorca. The 23-year-old from Kempen was clearly beaten 3:6, 4:6 by Benjamin Bonzi from France in the dress rehearsal for the grass-court classic in Wimbledon.
However, Altmaier was able to draw a positive conclusion shortly before the third Grand Slam tournament of the season, which begins on 27 June. At the grass events in Stuttgart and Halle, he had previously been eliminated in the first round both times. In Mallorca, he now celebrated his first two victories on grass this year.
