Pulisic misses penalty: Juventus and Milan draw 0-0

In a generally cautious game, Milan had the better chances in Turin, particularly through Pulisic’s penalty. A lackluster Juve recorded their fifth draw in a row in all competitions, but remain unbeaten.

After the 2-2 draw against Villarreal, the fourth draw in a row, Juventus coach Igor Tudor replaced his goalkeeper, among others, bringing on Di Gregorio for Perin. Francisco Conceicao also replaced Koopmeiners. Milan’s Massimiliano Allegri made only one change to his team on his return to Turin compared to the 2-1 win against Napoli: Bartesaghi started in place of Estupinan, who was suspended.

Both teams felt each other out at the start, with offensive actions only visible in glimpses. By the final third, both sides were becoming increasingly imprecise. Milan had their first chances through Rabiot (29′) and the lively Gimenez (32′, 43′), while David slipped on the turf in a promising position for Juve (34′).

Maignan saves 0-0 – Pulisic misses from the spot

In the second half, Gatti tested Maignan in the Milan goal from close range after a cross from the impressive Francisco Conceicao, but Maignan made a strong reflex save (48′). At the other end, there was a penalty after a foul by Kelly on Gimenez – but Pulisic shot over (53′). Pulisic (55′) and Fofana (59′) continued to put pressure on Milan with long-range shots. Substitute Rafael Leao also had chances (68′, 73′).

For Juve, substitute Openda at least got involved in some attacking moves, but to no effect. The final phase was then quieter again: Rafael Leao had another shot after a great pass from Modric (90′), as did Thuram at the other end (90′ +2).

Both teams remain in the tight group at the top of the table

After six games, Milan now has 13 points in the league, while the Old Lady has 12 – and remains unbeaten thanks to its fifth draw in a row across all competitions.

Serie A continues after the international break: On Sunday (19.10.2025), Juve plays in Como (12:30 p.m.). Milan then faces Fiorentina in the evening (8:45 p.m.).
