ProLeague Championship Final 4: Who Will Take Home the Trophy?

Four teams, one goal: to take home the ProLeague Championship trophy. But which team will have the strongest nerves?

Now there are only four left: After a long and hard-fought season, the ProLeague Championship grand final is just around the corner.

There, the best teams in the competition will battle it out for glory, honor, and, of course, the coveted championship trophy. The finalists are SV Wehen Wiesbaden, Rot Weiss Ahlen, LFC Braunschweig, and Rote Teufel Esports from 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

To even reach the final, the best teams in the competition had to be eliminated once again. The Red Devils, for example, faced competition from St. Pauli, among others, while Ahlen sent the team from Rellinghausen packing.

Former Champions and Title Dreams

Particular attention is likely to be focused on LCF Braunschweig, the reigning champion. In March, they narrowly missed taking home the Champions League title.

In the final against Shelter FC, they managed a 1-0 victory in the first leg, but lost the second leg 2-4—just narrowly enough—so that their rivals were ultimately crowned champions.

But with the guys from Kaiserslautern, another former champion is also in the final four. Will the Red Devils manage to bring the title back to Betzenberg this time? Ahlen and Wiesbaden, on the other hand, are finally planning to clinch their first title.
