Player in a quandary? Mbappé once again voted POTM for FC 24

Kylian Mbappé has once again been voted Ligue 1’s player of the month. This poses a dilemma for the owners of his previous POTM card in FC 24. Or does it?

To sign or not to sign? Anyone who has already earned Kylian Mbappé’s Player of the Month object for October in FUT may now be faced with this question. Because the Squad Building Challenge (SBC) tasks were expensive – 20 teams had to be submitted for the special card with an overall rating of 92. According to FUTBIN, the total price of the item is estimated at around 3.6 million coins.

Barely four weeks have passed since the release of the FUT card, and it is already clear that there will be a new POTM item from the Frenchman. Most likely with improved values, but nothing has been officially announced yet. In the case of Niclas Füllkrug, who was awarded back-to-back in FIFA 23, it was two more points that the successor item received

Risk of the POTMs – will Mbappé even get a new item?

There’s no question that an improved specialty item will be more complex to complete – which means a higher price. Another dilemma is the October POTM object. These special cards cannot be traded on the transfer market. They can only be used in another SBC. The mood on social media is mixed. On the one hand, annoyance, but also realistic disillusionment: “That’s the risk you take with POTM SBCs,” writes ‘Tony_Soprano5981’.

Many players have one wish: an additional SBC option where you can trade in your old card and have fewer tasks – as a kind of upgrade. At the same time, however, there is some speculation as to whether Mbappé will receive a new POTM item at all. Users cited the Team of the Group stage promo that will be released on Friday, for which the PSG striker may also be included. Accordingly, the existing SBC could simply be extended. What speaks in favor of this theory: While Deniz Undav’s POTM card has already been presented from the Bundesliga, the Frenchman’s publication is still missing
