The 29-year-old feels at home on grass and wants to build on her successes from last year.
From Bad Homburg to Wimbledon: Italian top player Jasmine Paolini will be playing at this year’s grass court tournament in the Kurpark. The world number six confirmed her participation in the tournament from June 22 to 28 to the organizers around former world number one Angelique Kerber. Immediately afterwards, the 29-year-old will head to London, where she reached the final on the “hallowed turf” last year.
Five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek and Eva Lys, currently the best German player, were among those who had already announced their participation before Paolini. “I think the tournament is great preparation for Wimbledon,” said Paolini, who is playing in Bad Homburg for the first time.
