Paderborn’s goal scorer Platte drops out

Zweitligist Paderborn will have to do without striker Felix Platte in the next few weeks. The East Westphalians made the announcement on Tuesday.

According to the club, the 23-year-old has torn a muscle fibre in his right hip. It was not announced how long the attacker will be out. The individual course of healing will decide.

It is therefore doubtful whether Platte will be used again this year. In SCP’s recent 0-0 draw with Hannover, the striker was substituted for Kai Pröger at the break and played the entire second half.

So far this season, Platte has played twelve games for Paderborn, eight of them from the start. With six goals and four assists, the 2017 European U-21 champion is in ninth place in the 2nd division scorer rankings.
