Outshining renowned competition: Juve extends contract with offensive ace Yildiz

Kenan Yildiz and Juventus are a perfect match—and will continue to be so in the future. As previously indicated, the Turin bosses have successfully extended the contract with their offensive star player. This includes a windfall for the professional himself.

Kenan Yildiz’s meteoric rise is unparalleled. Having left Regensburg and moved to Turin via FC Bayern Munich, the dribbling wizard quickly established himself in Serie A.

And that’s not all: over the years, the technician, who is now also firmly established in the Turkish national team, has become the Old Lady’s absolute figurehead—astonishing the Juventini not only with great moves, but also with special goals and unique celebrations.

The best news from the Italian record champions’ point of view: after clear hints on social media, the local bosses announced on Saturday afternoon that the 20-year-old’s contract had been extended from 2029 to 2030. According to reports, the Bianconeri beat out renowned interested parties such as Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, and Real Madrid.

“Our shared history continues!”

At the same time, Yildiz is likely to be Juve’s highest-paid player in the future—according to media reports, with annual earnings of up to €7 million instead of the previous €1.7 million per season. The current contract of the previous record earner, Dusan Vlahovic, who is said to earn €12 million, expires at the end of the 2025/26 season. The Serbian is expected to either transfer or re-sign for significantly less money.
When announcing Yildiz’s official contract extension, Juve wrote on social media: “Our shared history continues!” And placed the athlete with the number 10 on a bench in the home stadium – garnished with hands shaped like a star, the current goal celebration of the former Munich player, who moved from the Bundesliga record champions to Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. This season, Yildiz has already scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 31 competitive games for the Old Lady, whom he even captained against Verona on September 20—the youngest player to do so in the club’s history.

The traditional club concludes by writing: “In Turkish, the word Yildiz means ‘star’ – and Kenan’s star will continue to shine in black and white.”
