Monitor, Speakers, and FlexStrike: Sony Announces New Accessories

Sony’s product portfolio continues to grow. The company had already announced new hardware last year—now the first release dates and prices have been set.

First up is the FlexStrike, which is designed to appeal to both PlayStation 5 and PC users. The controller is primarily aimed at fans of fighting games and, in particular, competitive gamers. Sony places special emphasis on the device’s portability, which is ensured by a rechargeable battery and an included carrying case. The FlexStrike will be released on August 6—at the same time as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The suggested retail price is 200 euros.

Monitor initially available only in the U.S. and Japan

The second new addition is a 27-inch monitor with an integrated charging hook for the DualSense controller. The display offers QHD resolution (2560 × 1440 pixels), VRR support, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz on consoles and up to 240 Hz on PC and Mac. The catch: The monitor will be released on August 27, 2026, initially exclusively in the US and Japan. The price is $349.99.

In contrast, few details are available about the Pulse Elevate speakers. These are said to be specifically tuned for the new monitor. Sony still plans to release them this year, but the company has not yet announced a specific date or price.
