Messi and Suarez score twice for Miami – More worries for Reus

Things aren’t going well for Marco Reus in the MLS at the moment, as LA Galaxy suffered another defeat and he himself had to go off injured. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, on the other hand, were finally able to celebrate a win again.

The stars of Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, were furious after going four games without a win. In a clear 4-2 victory over Club de Foot Montreal, who are bottom of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS), the two South Americans each scored twice, moving their team up to sixth in the table. They also set up a goal for each other.

“The most important thing is that we won again,” Suarez was quoted as saying after the game on ESPN. ”We’re coming off a losing streak for which we had to take responsibility, and wins like this can correct that. This is how we’ll become the team we really are again.”

Messi’s former national team and club teammate and current Inter coach Javier Mascherano praised the performance of his two stars and hopes that it will lead to further success in the future: “That’s very important when it comes to influencing the team. Hopefully they can continue with this momentum.”

Reus forced off with injury

Things are going really badly for former Dortmund player Marco Reus at Los Angeles Galaxy. The 35-year-old’s team is languishing at the bottom of the Western Conference table with just four points and has yet to win a single league game this season.

The defending champions’ losing streak continued in their latest match, which they lost 0-1 to the San Jose Earthquakes. Reus played for about an hour before having to be substituted after sitting down on the pitch without any contact from an opponent. This is a warning sign, especially for the former German international, who had already missed eight games at the start of the season with knee problems. His coach Greg Vanney did not want to give any details about the injury at first, but “it doesn’t look good when a player goes down without contact.”
