Their first-round matches were moved from Sunday to Monday due to persistent rain. Altmaier will face Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic, while Hanfmann will take on French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi.
Jan-Lennard Struff is also scheduled to make his debut in the 1000-level tournament on Monday. He will face Alex Michelsen from the U.S. Top-seeded Alexander Zverev has a bye in the first round. The world No. 3 will play his first match against either Lorenzo Sonego (Italy) or Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands).
