Masters: Germans Won’t Start Until Monday

The Masters tournament has had to adjust its schedule due to rain on Sunday. Daniel Altmaier and Yannick Hanfmann are also affected.

German tennis pros Daniel Altmaier and Yannick Hanfmann will get a delayed start to the Masters tournament in Montréal, Canada. Their first-round matches were moved from Sunday to Monday due to persistent rain. Altmaier will face Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic, while Hanfmann will take on French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi.

Jan-Lennard Struff is also scheduled to make his debut in the 1000-level tournament on Monday. He will face Alex Michelsen from the U.S. Top-seeded Alexander Zverev has a bye in the first round. The world No. 3 will play his first match against either Lorenzo Sonego (Italy) or Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands).
