Liverpool FC and EA Sports renew partnership

Liverpool FC and EA Sports will remain partners for the next few years. This was announced by the English top club on its website. Accordingly, the contract between the club and the game manufacturer has been extended for another three years and is to run until 2025. It has been in place since 2019.

The new deal is said to give “EA SPORTS greater access to players from the men’s and women’s teams, digital rights, former players and LFC events”. Drew Crisp, Senior Vice-President of Digital at Liverpool FC, expresses great enthusiasm towards the new deal.

“The exciting worlds of football, online gaming and eSports are becoming increasingly intertwined as fans seek new digital ways to connect with the football action in both physical and virtual environments.”

On top of this, the official press release highlights the success of sponsored content on Liverpool’s social channels. These will continue to be produced in conjunction with EA Sports. This includes, for example, ratings reveals featuring players from the club.

Even though the publisher’s football games could soon change names, Electronic Arts is thus tying up a strong partner. In contrast, Liverpool’s star striker Roberto Firmino has joined the competition from UFL.
