In total, the third round of the League Cup holds seven Premier League internal duels. In addition to the rematch of the 2019 final (City beat Chelsea 4:3 i.E.), Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur face each other, Manchester United meet Aston Villa and others. In contrast, Stevenage will play Charlton Athletic in a match between a fourth and a third division team.
