Kohr will miss Mainz for several weeks

Mainz 05 will probably have to do without Dominik Kohr for the rest of the Hinrunde. The midfielder injured himself in the match against Cologne.

34 minutes Kohr was on the pitch in the 1-1 draw with Cologne before the 27-year-old had to leave the pitch due to pain in his left thigh and was replaced by Leandro Barreiro. Mainz announced on Monday that Kohr suffered a muscle-tendon injury which is expected to keep him out of action for four weeks. This means that the first half of the season is probably over for the six-man.

The Trier native has played ten Bundesliga games for Mainz so far this season, nine of them from the start. As he did against Cologne, Barreiro will probably take over the role in front of the defence in the coming games, but Anton Stach is also available as an alternative.
