Joshua: “I’m going to blow him away”

Ex-world champion Anthony Joshua is talking big again after his defeat to Alexander Usyk. He will ascend the boxing throne again, he said.

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is set to return to the boxing throne in his rematch against his defeater Alexander Usyk.

“I always come back stronger after defeats because I can’t handle losing at all,” the Brit told Sport-Bild: “I’m going to blow Usyk away in the rematch! After that, I’ll reign as a three-time world heavyweight champion.”

Joshua had lost his WBA, WBO and IBF federation world championship belts in a fight against Ukrainian Usyk in London on September 25.

Record fight Joshua vs. Usyk in spring?

The contracted rematch has not yet been officially scheduled but could take place next spring.

To be crowned world champion for the third time, as Muhammad Ali once managed to do, would not be a mark of quality for Joshua, however.

“Being world champion three times should be seen as a failure,” he said. “I really just want to be world champion once and stay that way forever. I have to have that attitude. “
