The match between double champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening will, for the first time, also be available as a broadcast in the style of the famous Playmobil figures. The Bundesliga announced this in a statement.
TV viewers can take part in this special broadcast
“Every pass, every sprint and every goal from the real world will be recreated live,” the statement reads. The players, including Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane, “will appear as Playmobil figures whose movements exactly mirror the real match”.
This unique format, aimed primarily at younger fans, will be shown on Sky and RTL+. According to the Bundesliga, viewers can also play a part in the broadcast. By voting via an app, “they can influence selected elements of the broadcast in real time”, it says.
