Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc is basking in family joy: Following his dream wedding, the Monegasque is now looking forward to his first child
Sweet news from the Principality of Monaco: Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (28) and his wife Alexandra (25) are expecting their first child. The expectant mother announced the pregnancy herself on Instagram and surprised her followers with atmospheric photos from their vacation.
On a yacht, the 25-year-old poses in a green two-piece, running her fingers through her hair and skillfully showcasing her already clearly visible baby bump. She simply captioned the post with ladybug emojis.
Attentive observers, however, had long suspected that there would soon be baby news in the Leclerc household: Rumors of a pregnancy were already circulating during a vacation together off the coast of Sardinia, when fans spotted Alexandra’s first baby bump in snapshots taken on their own yacht, the “Sedici.”
The couple’s relationship dates back to 2022, when they met through mutual friends. About a year later, they went public with their relationship.
In November 2025, the marriage proposal finally followed, with Leclerc relying on a particularly cute helper: Leo the dachshund served as a little messenger and delivered the message “Dad wants to marry you.”
The couple celebrated the highlight of their relationship so far in February 2026. At Monaco City Hall, Charles and Alexandra exchanged vows in the presence of their closest family and friends. Afterward, the newlyweds appeared overjoyed on a balcony high above the rooftops of Monaco—and now their first child together has finally made their family’s happiness complete.
Leclerc would be the fifth father on the Formula 1 grid. Nico Hülkenberg, Max Verstappen, and Sergio Perez have also been blessed with children in recent years. Just this past March, Fernando Alonso joined the ranks of Formula 1 fathers.
