“Gigantic”: Eintracht receives 100,000 ticket orders for the final

Frankfurt’s European tour continues and could soon come to a crowning conclusion in Seville. It’s clear that as many SGE supporters as possible want to be there.

On 18 May, Eintracht Frankfurt will face Glasgow Rangers in the final of the Europa League in Seville. It is certain that thousands of Hesse supporters will once again make the journey to Spain. The only question is: How many will actually be at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan?

On Monday, the Frankfurt side announced that they had received over 100,000 ticket orders. Board spokesman Hellmann Axel says: “We are trying to get every single ticket on the market.” The well over 100,000 requests exceed the available quota by more than ten times. Tickets will be allocated from Tuesday and should be ready by the end of the week.

“There will be many disappointed “

“We expected a very large wave of enquiries, but this interest within 48 hours is simply gigantic and has far exceeded our expectations. As pleased as we are with the support of our fans, it will be a challenge to allocate tickets,” Hellmann said, adding: “We know that there will be many disappointed fans. I can assure you that we will try to get every ticket we can through official channels to give as many fans as possible the opportunity to be in Seville.”

Frankfurt’s board spokesman is convinced “that several tens of thousands of supporters will accompany us despite the public viewing offer. “
