For around 3.5 million euros: Frankfurt also activate Jakic’s option

Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to the future with Kristijan Jakic (25), the Hessians made public on Sunday morning. The activated purchase option will cost the reigning Europa League winners around 3.5 million euros.

Kristijan Jakic, who initially joined the SGE on a one-year loan from Dinamo Zagreb at the end of August, will receive a contract until 30 June 2026 after the purchase option has been activated.

In his first season on the Main, the central midfielder played in 38 of a possible 44 games. In his 26 Bundesliga appearances, he scored one goal, which made the Croatian senior international (three caps) a record – he gave Eintracht their 268th goalscorer in the German top flight.
