Pierre Gasly sets new accents away from the racetrack and becomes part of a traditional fashion house with global appeal
Away from the racetrack, Pierre Gasly has landed an important partner. The Alpine driver is now a brand ambassador for the traditional French fashion house Lacoste. As part of this collaboration, the Formula 1 driver will in particular be the face of the brand’s famous polo shirt.
In a statement from the company, Gasly describes the garment as the French designer’s strongest expression: “It’s a piece that was born on the tennis court and has become a symbol of effortless elegance.”
Eric Vallat, CEO of Lacoste, sees the Frenchman as the perfect fit for the brand. Gasly embodies the spirit of performance and perseverance in an ideal way. “His international career, his high standards and his affinity for disciplines such as tennis and golf harmonize strongly with our universe,” explains Vallat. We are looking forward to opening a new chapter with him.
Gasly follows in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton
The fact that Pierre Gasly is increasingly involved in fashion comes as no surprise. The Frenchman has repeatedly emphasized his passion for design in the past, praising Lewis Hamilton as a pioneer. Without Hamilton, things would be different today, Gasly told Sky Sports F1 back in 2023.
The Brit paved the way for younger drivers to express themselves fashionably in the paddock. Gasly himself was recently a regular guest at Paris Fashion Week, where he attended shows by Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Bluemarble.
At the beginning of 2026, the Frenchman was even considering the fashion industry as a new field of activity after the end of his racing career. “I will definitely immerse myself in this world at some point,” he said. “I just like the creativity behind it. At the end of the day, I also want to discover other worlds.”
In sporting terms, things are also going according to plan for Gasly in 2026. After the first three Grands Prix of the season, he is currently eighth in the drivers’ standings with tenth, eighth and sixth place. His Alpine team, which now competes as a Mercedes customer team, currently occupies fifth place in the Constructors’ World Championship.
