ESM Eleven September: Lewandowski receives the most votes

Robert Lewandowski was also voted ESM Eleven of the Month for September. The striker received the most votes. In addition to a quartet from Bayern, another player from the Bundesliga was voted in.

Robert Lewandowski, who continues to be in great form, received nine of a possible 13 votes in the September Eleven poll. Alongside the currently outstanding Pole, Joshua Kimmich also received a strong nine votes. Alphonso Davies (4) and Manuel Neuer (3) were also in the eleven.

There is even a fifth player from the Bundesliga in the top eleven, Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund (6). The international press also agreed on ex-Dortmund player Achraf Hakimi (8). The defender in the service of Paris St. Germain not only showed his qualities in defence last month, but even scored a brace in PSG’s 2-1 win in Metz.

There was also no way around defender Kalidou Koulibaly (8). The French-born Senegalese international stormed to the top of the Serie A table with Napoli.

The Premier League is represented by Ruben Dias (Manchester City, 5 votes) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 7).
