eFootball 2024 coming this week: release update started

Konami has started the update to eFootball 2024. The new version of the football simulation will be released in just a few days.

With some fanfare, EA SPORTS announced the release of EA SPORTS FC 24 at a large-scale Reveal event in Amsterdam in July. On 29 September, the new era without FIFA is to begin – thus starting three weeks after the competition. Konami’s new eFootball update will in fact go online in its entirety as early as 7 September.

“Even more advanced gameplay” through “improved game control “

The developer had already announced the release last week, while the gaming industry’s biggest focus may have been on gamescom 2023 in Cologne. In the process, the Japanese company also revealed what the latest iteration of eFootballs would initially focus on. “Improved game control” and “freedom in the creation of opportunities” is what gamers can expect, who can look forward to “an even more advanced gameplay experience”. However, Konami is still keeping quiet about the content. It is not yet clear, for example, whether the career mode, the “Master League”, will be integrated after a co-op update.

The promises of better gameplay can be put to the test as early as Tuesday, 5 September – at least if you play the mobile version. On the console, the update, which has already been launched, will take a little longer: from 6 September, “trial matches”, so to speak, will be possible. The complete release will take place the following day.
