The Golden State Warriors are apparently considering a high-profile candidate for their future. Head coach Steve Kerr, in particular, is said to be convinced by the star – a potential offer could therefore be very generous.
The Warriors would apparently like to sign Devin Booker from the Phoenix Suns. This is according to long-standing Bay Area reporter Tim Kawakami. However, there are reportedly no concrete negotiations between the two teams as yet.
“I think the Warriors actually like him a bit too much. But they love him. Steve loves him,” said Kawakami. In his view, Golden State would be prepared to make a costly offer: “The Warriors would be the first to say: ‘ We can give you three first-round picks.’”

Kerr’s appreciation for Booker is said to have grown particularly during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Under the Warriors coach, the guard – otherwise known as a scorer – accepted a more limited offensive role and took on important defensive duties. Together, they won the gold medal with the USA.
However, a move currently seems unlikely. Booker has repeatedly expressed his commitment to Phoenix and only last year extended his contract by two years for 145 million dollars. This means the 29-year-old remains tied to the Suns until the end of the 2029/30 season.
