Bayern leave Bamberg no chance in the cup

In the duel with its former rival, Bayern Munich shows its strength. Göttingen and Heidelberg have also progressed

FC Bayern München has reached the quarter-finals in the cup. The 2021 winners won their round of 16 match at Brose Bamberg with 85:68 (44:33) on Sunday and easily decided the duel with the former series champions in their favour. BG Göttingen, who beat ratiopharm Ulm 86-82, and MLP Academics Heidelberg, who beat Löwen Braunschweig 85-84 after extra time, also progressed and can dream of winning the Cup.

Already on Saturday, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, medi Bayreuth and Hakro Merlins Crailsheim had qualified for the round of the best eight. The last participant will be determined on Monday (7pm/Magentasport) between defending champions Alba Berlin and Telekom Baskets Bonn.
