Andy Murray Makes Coaching Comeback

Former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is returning to the ATP Tour as a coach. After working with Novak Djokovic, he will now coach Jack Draper.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is returning to the ATP Tour as a coach this summer.

Following his six-month stint as coach to Grand Slam record champion Novak Djokovic between November 2024 and May 2025, the 38-year-old Scot will coach Britain’s Jack Draper during the upcoming grass-court season. Draper, who has slipped to No. 50 in the world rankings after major injury problems, announced this on Tuesday.

Draper Plummets Due to Injuries

The 24-year-old had previously announced his split from his coach Jamie Delgado. Draper was still ranked No. 4 in the world in June 2025 but had to take an eight-month break due to arm issues.

He will miss the upcoming French Open in Paris (starting May 24) due to knee problems. The grass-court highlight at Wimbledon begins on June 29.

British tennis icon Murray, a two-time Olympic champion and three-time Grand Slam winner, had spoken of an “amazing experience” after ending his collaboration with Djokovic: “I gave it my all and learned a lot about what coaching means.”
