Ana Carrasco: Moto3 return or promotion to Supersport World Championship?

Ana Carrasco’s name does not appear on the entry list for the Supersport 300 World Championship: Will the former 300cc World Champion return to the MotoGP paddock?

Ana Carrasco is expected to return to the MotoGP paddock for the 2022 season, competing in the Moto3 World Championship. This is according to ‘Sky Sport Italia’. The former Supersport 300 world champion does not appear on the entry list for the new season.

In Moto3, Carrasco is expected to ride for the Boe-Skx team, taking the place of David Salvador, who was originally scheduled to ride. Carrasco would pilot a KTM. She previously raced in Moto3 from 2013 to 2015, but only managed to score points in her rookie season. In two races she made it into the top 15.

Carrasco made headlines in the Supersport 300 World Championship. In the production-based championship, she became the first woman to win a world title in a road championship under the FIM label in the 2018 season.

Currently, Carrasco is testing a Kawasaki ZX-6R in Jerez. The promotion to the Supersport World Championship was always aspired to in the past years, but could not be realised.
