Joy for Daniel Altmaier. The German has reached the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Los Cabos.
Tennis pro Daniel Altmaier has reached the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico, after a false start. The number five seed from Kempen was already trailing 2-4 and 30-40 against American Mitchell Krueger, but ultimately won comfortably 6-4, 6-3.
His next opponent in the hard court event is Tristan Schoolkate from Australia.
Altmaier, who was recently defeated in the first round at Wimbledon in three sets by Canadian Gabriel Diallo, is the only German participant in Los Cabos.
