Alba runs out of steam: Champions Ulm follow Bayern into the final

Both teams put up a thrilling fight from the outset, with neither team able to pull away decisively. Ulm were two points ahead at the break, but the lead kept changing hands after half-time

In the final period, it initially looked as if Alba might pull away. However, Ulm showed great morale and had the outstanding player on court in Trevion Williams. The American was the decisive factor in the end and was the game’s best scorer with 25 points.

Ulm now face Bayern Munich in the final on Sunday (2 p.m./Dyn). The defending champions won 81:62 (48:32) against the six-time cup winners Bamberg Baskets in their own arena in front of NBA star Dennis Schröder. A triumph in the final would be Ulm’s second cup win since 1996
