Al Ghaddioui leaves VfB for Cyprus

Hamadi Al Ghaddioui turns his back on Germany. The VfB Stuttgart attacker is on the verge of a move to Cyprus.

Hamadi Al Ghaddioui is leaving VfB Stuttgart after two and a half years to join FC Pafos, who are currently fifth in the Cypriot first division. VfB will receive a small five-figure transfer fee for the attacker whose contract would have expired in the summer.

Al Ghaddioui made ten appearances for VfB in the first half of the season, scoring four times. However, with the return of Sasa Kalajdzic, the 31-year-old German-Moroccan would have faced a difficult remaining half-year in Stuttgart.

Al Ghaddioui has played a total of 16 Bundesliga, 66 second division, 20 third division and 185 regional league games in Germany for VfB, Jahn Regensburg, Sportfreunde Lotte, Borussia Dortmund II, SC Verl and Bayer Leverkusen II.
