Razoon – more than Racing start from pole at home race in Spielberg in the ADAC GT Masters – Kastelic/Lefterov with big chance in the afternoon
Mark Kastelic secured pole position for the second ADAC GT Masters race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday. In his Porsche 911 GT3 R, he set a time of 1:28.954 minutes to give his Team Razoon first grid position at their home race in Austria. Teammate Leo Pichler, 0.213 seconds behind, completed the front row for the local heroes.
“It simply couldn’t have gone any better. I wanted this the whole time,“ said the jubilant 18-year-old rookie, who shares his Porsche with Pavel Lefterov.
”The lap times today were a little slower than yesterday and I initially had the feeling of being very slow. I put everything into my last lap and the lap time was okay. When they told me on the radio that I had pole, I couldn’t believe it. Now it’s all about winning. We have the best starting position and there are no more excuses.”
The drivers went into the second qualifying session of the 2026 season with an outside temperature of just under seven degrees and bright sunshine. Once again, the best times at the front changed every second until the two Razoon Porsches took the lead at the very end. The winners of the previous day will start the race from third place on the grid. Felix Hirsiger (Team Engstler Motorsport) crossed the line 0.249 seconds behind the fastest time in his Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2.
Tim Zimmermann (FK Performance Motorsport) completes the second row of the grid in the best BMW M4 GT3 Evo ahead of his brand colleague Sandro Holzem (Schubert Motorsport), who will start the race from fifth on the grid.
The race starts on Sunday at 3:10 pm and will be broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air TV. It’s worth tuning in from 3 p.m. so as not to miss the highlight summary of the sensational first race at the Red Bull Ring. The race can also be streamed live on Joyn, ServusTV On and on Youtube.com/ADACMotorsports.
